Vesteda Extends Its Partnership with DATAGROUP Netherlands (formerly Valid Managed Services)
The organizations have been working together since 2016. With the new agreement, Vesteda and DATAGROUP Netherlands (formerly Valid Managed Services) are further expanding their partnership. DATAGROUP manages Vesteda’s entire workplace environment. Recently, the organization oversaw the rollout of Windows 11. In addition, a Security Operations Center (SOC) and Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) environment have been set up, enabling 24/7 monitoring of the organization for cyber threats via an “eyes on screen” model.
Modernization of the Application Landscape
DATAGROUP also supports Vesteda in the ongoing modernization of its application landscape. Older applications are being replaced or migrated to cloud and SaaS solutions wherever possible. In addition, DATAGROUP manages the network infrastructure at all regional offices.
Arjan Regtien, Service Delivery Manager, highlights the growing role of security in this process. “Security requirements are increasing rapidly. Together, we are constantly exploring how we can further strengthen and modernize the environment,” says Regtien.
Predictable Service Delivery and Flexibility
For Vesteda, reliability in service delivery is a key factor in the partnership. Jan Ris, Head of IT & Security at Vesteda: “DATAGROUP provides a great mix of well-oiled standard processes and room for customization when the situation calls for it. The majority of their services are predictable and delivered as agreed. They’ve got that down pat.”
At the same time, he believes flexibility is just as important when unusual situations arise. “Sometimes there’s a deviation from the process or an urgent situation. In those cases, you want someone who thinks along with you and the ability to adapt quickly. DATAGROUP is a great IT partner in that regard as well. We know we can count on each other.”
Working Together on Digital Resilience
A key focus area in the coming years is digital resilience. As an organization operating within the financial sector, Vesteda must comply with European regulations such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). This means that IT service providers and other suppliers must also meet strict requirements.
“What was good enough yesterday may no longer be sufficient today,” says Jan Ris. “Cyber threats are evolving at lightning speed, and regulations are becoming increasingly stringent. In such an environment, your service provider plays a crucial role. DATAGROUP does an excellent job in this regard.”
